Getting your usheru Select widget set up for the first time

Introduction

usheru Select is the ‘plug and play’ solution from usheru to bring showtime and streaming service data to your website.

The goal is to turn your website into an eCommerce engine helping you to:

1. centralise all your marketing campaigns

2. improve your SEO and grow organic traffic

3. maximise purchase conversions.

It is quick and easy to install on your website and traffic and key events can be directly tracked from your own Google Analytics account giving your visibility of campaign success to optimise marketing performance.

Step by Step Onboarding Instructions

1. Onboarding

   Once you have signed the contract the usheru client support team will reach out to you directly to begin the onboarding process. We will send you a list of everything we need to begin the build. The widget has a number of configurable options which will ask you to confirm:

   Configuration Options:
   

   The following options can be configured on your widget:

   • Font: Please let us know the font you'd like to use (it should already be on your website)

   • Colours: What colours would you like to use for the widget? (primary and secondary)

   • URL: Please provide the URL for where the widget will be implemented. This URL must be whitelisted for the widget to be fully functional

   • IMDB Code & Release Date: Please confirm the IMDB code for your film and the correct release date for your territory 

   • UX Flow: Defines the Showtimes selection layout based on which information to select first (Cinema or Date)

   • Default Location: This location will be used when the user location is unknown or outside platform scope

   • Number of Cinemas: Defines the maximum number of cinemas first shown; if there are more cinemas playing than the number defined here, the user will have the option to see more cinemas

   • Time Format: Defines the Time Format in which the Showtimes are shown (AM/PM or 24-hour)

   • Location Radius: Defines the maximum radius distance from the selected location in order for the cinemas to be shown  (default value is 30km, max value is 50km)

   • Near Cities Radius: Defines the maximum radius distance from the selected location in order for the Nearby Cities to be shown as optional Cities with available Showtimes (default value is 500km and this is also the maximum value)

   • Language: In what language should the widget be delivered? Multiple languages are supported and can be set in the installation script.
     

As soon as you have one available, we will also request you send through your list of confirmed cinemas/theatres that will be showing your film. We can share this with our showtimes provider to help ensure we're displaying all available locations and showtimes and use it for QA processes. This step is not mandatory for the widget to work, but it is highly recommended.

2. Installation

• Once your usheru Select widget is ready to install we will send you two lines of code along with installation instructions. To install the widget, simply place these 2 lines of code on the HTML code of the page where you want to display the widget:

  Above is an example of the code you will receive. If you would like to test out the implementation to see roughly how the widget could look on your website, you can implement our demo widget.

  The following code will install a demo widget. Please note that this demo is for demonstration purposes only and cannot be configured to client specific needs (i.e. colors, fonts, movie or configuration options cannot be altered)

  The demo widget is currently linked to the film Wicked and the default location is Los Angeles. 

3. Initial Setup

• Once the widget is installed we will ensure that it is tracking correctly and has all necessary permissions. During the onboarding process we will also ask you for a cinema list, you can continue to send us updated lists during the campaign to clientsupport@usheru.com

4. Tracking

• Additionally, if you use Google Analytics 4 on your website, and you send us your Property ID (starts with G- ), we will send the following custom events to your GA property:

  Showtimes widget:

  • ShowtimesLoaded - the Showtimes widget is loaded in the web page

  • ShowtimesViewed - the Showtimes widget is on the viewport of the user (the user has seen the widget)

  • SelectCinema - user selects a cinema from the cinema list

  • SelectDate - user selects a date from the date list

  • SelectCity - user selects a city from the near cities list

  • OpenMap - user clicks on 'See Map' to see the location of the cinema

  • CinemaRedirect - user clicks 'Book Now' and is redirected to the cinema deep link to purchase tickets

  Streaming widget:

  • StreamingLoaded - the Streaming widget is loaded in the web page

  • StreamingViewed - the Streaming widget is on the viewport of the user (the user has seen the widget)

  • SelectCountry - user uses the country selector to switch to another country

  • StreamingRedirect - user clicks on a platform logo to access to the streaming service

5. Get Help

• During the onboarding process you will be in direct communication with a member of our Client Support team who will guide you through the entire process. Then once your widget is live, you can send all questions and requests to clientsupport@usheru.com .
