At usheru (We Love Cinema Limited), we understand that providing flexibility in work arrangements can enhance productivity and job satisfaction. We acknowledge that some employees may choose to work remotely from a location outside their country of contract, referred to as a "workcation." While we support this flexibility, it is essential to clarify that during a workcation, employees assume full liability for their safety and well-being. usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) will not be held liable for any incidents, accidents, or issues arising from employees working outside their country of contract.

Policy Statement:

At usheru (We Love Cinema Limited), we understand that providing flexibility in work arrangements can enhance productivity and job satisfaction. We acknowledge that some employees may choose to work remotely from a location outside their country of contract, referred to as a "workcation." While we support this flexibility, it is essential to clarify that during a workcation, employees assume full liability for their safety and well-being. usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) will not be held liable for any incidents, accidents, or issues arising from employees working outside their country of contract.


Scope:

This policy applies to all usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) full and part-time employees who wish to work remotely from a location outside their country of contract.


Policy Guidelines:

  1. Prior Approval:

Employees intending to work remotely from a different country during a workcation must seek prior approval from their respective managers and the Human Resources contact. The request should include the destination, duration of stay, and a brief explanation of how work responsibilities will be fulfilled.

2. Employee Responsibilities:

a. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Employees must ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and immigration requirements of the destination country. It is the employee's responsibility to understand and abide by the legal obligations related to employment, taxation, visa requirements, and work permits, if applicable.

b. Health and Safety: Employees are responsible for their personal health and safety during a workcation. This includes acquiring necessary travel insurance, maintaining a safe work environment, and following local safety guidelines and protocols.

c. Data Security: Employees must ensure the security of usheru (We Love Cinema Limited)'s confidential information and client data while working remotely. This includes adhering to the company's data protection policies and using secure network connections and devices.

d. Availability and Communication: Employees must maintain regular availability during work hours as specified by their employment contract and promptly respond to work-related communications.

e. Travel and Accommodation: Employees are responsible for their travel arrangements and accommodations during the workcation. usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) will not reimburse any expenses related to travel, accommodation, or other associated costs.

3. Termination of Workcation:

a. Recall for Work: If operational needs arise or there are concerns about performance or conduct, usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) reserves the right to recall an employee from their workcation at its discretion. In such cases, the employee will be required to return to their country of contract promptly.

b. Contractual Obligations: The terms and conditions of the employee's contract, including notice periods and termination provisions, will continue to apply during the workcation period.


4. Liability Waiver:

By participating in a workcation, employees acknowledge and accept that usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) is not liable for any risks, accidents, injuries, illnesses, damages, losses, or other liabilities that may occur during their stay in a foreign country. Employees waive any claims or demands against usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) arising from such incidents.

5. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property:

Employees must uphold the company's confidentiality and intellectual property policies while working remotely. All information, data, and intellectual property accessed or created during the workcation remain the property of usheru (We Love Cinema Limited).

Policy Violations:

Any violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, in accordance with usheru (We Love Cinema Limited)'s disciplinary procedures.

Review and Amendments:

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. usheru (We Love Cinema Limited) reserves the right to amend or modify this policy at any time, with appropriate notice to employees.
