How To Edit An Existing Page

Prev Next

Elementor editing tool is the tool that usheru has chosen as the editing overlay on your usheru Venue Connect solution, which is built in WordPress. Elementor allows you to interact with that WordPress code and make edits and manage your pages & content. Elementor provides higher flexibility for design and performance than other editing solution options, which is the reason why we have chosen that as the editing tool for your website.

Introduction

In this article we will run through the steps on how to edit an existing page WordPress using Elementor

Steps

  1. Once you login, click on the "Pages" option from the left side menu and then select "all pages"

  2. You’ll see the list of pages you have at the moment. Hover over the one you want to edit and you’ll see some options. Select ‘Edit with elementor’ (Elementor is the editor widget for the pages)Screenshot 2022-11-29 at 19.50.03

  3. This will bring you to the page you wish to edit. Now if you hover over any of the elements, a blue pencil icon will appear. Click this to edit the component.

  4. Once you click on the blue pencil icon, the tab on the left will change to display Content, Style, Advanced.

    • Content - This is where you'll edit the main information of the element (depending on the module), such as paragraph text, the title, an image's alt text, or a button's link.

    • Style - In this tab you can modify the element's appearance: text color, typography, alignment, backgrounds, borders, etc.

    • Advanced - This section allows for more technical adjustments like margins, spacing (padding), motion effects, custom CSS attributes, or the element's visibility on different devices (mobile, tablet, desktop). You typically won't need to use this tab for simple content changes.

Summary

Editing your existing pages with Elementor is quick and easy. Please ensure when you go to edit a page you select “Edit with Elementor” to open up the Elementor Editor.
