High-Level Technology Overview

usheru Connect is a robust, enterprise-grade platform designed for high performance, scalability, and security. Below is a high-level overview of our technical architecture to provide confidence in the reliability and modernity of our infrastructure:

Front-End

  • Built with Angular 17 using Server-Side Rendering (SSR) for optimal SEO and performance

  • Deployed to Amazon S3 and delivered globally via Amazon CloudFront for fast, secure content delivery

Back-End API

  • Custom Java application serving a RESTful API

  • Runs on Tomcat behind nginx for improved performance and routing

  • Hosted on Amazon EC2 with Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) for high availability

  • API traffic is globally distributed through Amazon CloudFront

Database Layer

  • PostgreSQL databases hosted on Amazon RDS for scalability, reliability, and automated backups

Pricing

Connect quotes have 3 main variables;

  • Build fee: Cost to build their solution as scoped

  • Monthly fee: Hosting, maintenance, support and data feed fees

  • Per release fee: Like Select, we can charge for a bundle of titles so they can pay per release (and not per month). We use Select pricing bundles for this. Our general philosophy is to know how many releases they have (which will impact traffic and associated servicing costs) and give them a 20% discount if they pay monthly as opposed to per release.

We will launch a pricing calculator in early 2025 to standardise and simplify pricing for partners. This is a screenshot of how it will work. We will have a base price and then charge out services based on their requirements (catalogue size, languages, traffic etc).
